    Mouth ulcers (or canker sores) are small and painful sores that appear on the inside of the mouth and lips. They can be uncomfortable and make eating and speaking difficult.  What are Mouth Ulcers and Canker Sores? Mouth ulcers are sores that appear inside the mouth. They are usually round or oval, have a red border with a white or yellow center, and can range from a small dot to a large sore. They are non-contagious and are not caused by any known virus. Causes of Mouth Ulcers and Canker Sores Several factors believed to contribute to their development are: ·        Trauma to the mouth. ·        Hormonal changes. ·        Toothpaste. ·        Stress and anxiety. ·        Food sensitivities. If this problem becomes frequent, a visit to the dentist is recommended. Treatment of Mouth Ulcers and Canker Sores Perhaps because of the widespread susceptibility to mouth ulcers, there are countless remedies for mouth ulcer.
