Dental Appointments and COVID-19

With the onset of COVID-19, many patients have a lot of questions when it comes to resuming their normal lives. And this includes questions about your dental health as it relates to coronavirus and new protection mandates.

So, we at Coshocton Dentistry have put together a miniseries to answer the most frequently asked questions about visiting the dentist during the pandemic.

Should I Reschedule My Dental Appointment Until the Pandemic is Over?

We do not recommend pushing your appointments back for a few reasons. For one, no one is sure how long the virus will be affecting our lives. Dental health is so important, and postponing any treatments or even regular visits can be detrimental.

The more regularly you visit the dentist, the more likely we are to be able to catch issues before they start or become painful, and more.

What is Coshocton Dentistry Doing to Keep Patients Safe?

We have always been extremely conscious of our patient's health, but we are now taking even more measures to ensure your safety while at our offices.

New Safety Measures:

  • Increased PPE.
  • Increased cleaning protocols.
  • We're using disinfectants known to kill the coronavirus.
  • We have removed magazines and toys from the waiting room.
  • We're cleaning all high touch surfaces such as door handles and countertops after each patient.
  • Screening staff and patients for temperatures and a series of questions.

We are also asking our patients to change their behaviors:

  • Check-in by phone and wait in your car until your appointment.
  • We ask that you wear a face mask.
  • No guests unless necessary.
