What is Fluoride Varnish?

Now, we have further perfected this prevention technique with a newer form of this called fluoride varnish. It's very easy to do. It's very quick and effective. It takes about a minute or two to apply, but it's a gel coating. It's a high concentration of fluoride that allows for more absorption over a longer period of time.

How Does Fluoride Varnish Work?

The studies show that with the use of fluoride varnish, we can achieve a significant reduction in tooth decay, strengthen your teeth, and the existing restorations you have; extending their lifespan. Varnish also reduces the chances of the dentist needing to do more expensive treatment down the road. So, we now recommend this to virtually all of our patients can be extremely beneficial.

The best part is that this is a treatment that we can apply for you easily each time you come for your regularly scheduled check-ups. For most patients, we suggest at least every six months or twice a year.
